GUARANTEES
Stronghold Preservation have been issuing guarantees up to 20 years in length during our unbroken 25+ years of trading.
Stronghold are a member of the Property Care Association, PCA, which is the leading trade association in the remedial industry, that provide rigorous financial checks and technical audits on every member. This membership provides access to the Guarantee Protection Insurance,GPI, an independent company which arranges insurance to protect our long term guarantees. GPI is a Financial Services Authority regulated insurance company which insures the client in the unlikely event that Stronghold are unable to fulfil its contractual duties under the terms of the guarantee.
Stronghold can provide the following long term guarantees:

- Timber Preservation
- Cavity Wall Tie Replacement
- Basement Waterproofing
The guarantees issued by Stronghold are transferable to any new property owners, provided our specifications are adhered to.

HISTORY
1985, ULSTER DAMP PROOFING
Stronghold Preservation started trading under the name of ‘Ulster Damp Proofing’. The company was started as a specialist damp proofing company by Seamus & Eileen Marshall in 1985, initially as a franchise of British Damp Proofing and then as an independent company, with their sons Paul and Peter subsequently joining the company. As the company diversified it adopted the acronym ‘UDPG’ – Ulster Damp Proofing Group.
2013, STRONGHOLD PRESERVATION
In 2013 the company was re-branded to become ‘Stronghold Preservation’ to better reflect the wide range of services carried out; and to position the company firmly in its target market of the restoration of historic buildings and structures. As the company has progressed, it has expanded to include a wide range of structural repair and restoration services for listed and historic buildings and structures, and also specialises in new build basement waterproofing.
During 25+ unbroken years in trading, the company has issued and honoured workmanship guarantees up to 20 years in length.
